Cellular Healing Diet Hudson, WI- Meatloaf Recipe

Bobbie's Meatloaf Recipe- Cellular Healing Diet Style

2 pounds grass fed ground beef
2 eggs (organic or free range)
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp chili powder
1/2 cup zucchini, shredded (moistens the meatloaf)
4 garlic scapes or 1 tsp minced garlic
1/4 cup raw milk or organic whole milk
1/2 cup quinoa (soaked for at least 2 hours to soften the seeds)
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt

Topping:
1/3 cup Organic Ketchup (without sugar if possible)
1 tsp mustard (I used stone ground)
2 tsp Xylitol or 1/2 tsp Stevia (I've only used Xylitol)
1/2 tsp chili powder
salt & pepper to taste

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375°. Mix the ingredients of the meatloaf with your hands until well mixed. The mixture may seem very wet, but it makes the meatloaf so moist without falling apart. Place mixture in a meatloaf pan (I use a glass bread pan). For the topping, just mix all the ingredients together with a whisk and spread over meatloaf. Place in oven and bake for 1 hour. Serves 4-6 people depending on the appetites! I served it with sauteed zucchini and mushrooms in extra virgin olive oil.

Ratings: My husband rated this my best meatloaf ever. My mom rated this the best meatloaf she's ever tasted--- she's my mom, what else is she supposed to say? Don't take their word for it, try it for yourself!

Update for those who follow:
My health is still on track to complete wellness. I'm in the process of getting my amalgams replaced- but still NO SYMPTOMS of Ulcerative Colitis after struggling for 16 years. My husband is running the Stillwater, MN Lumberjack Days 10-mile run today and we were reminiscing of the last time both of us had ran it. I have not ran it since July 2003- BECAUSE I've been sick EVERY SINGLE summer since then (2008 I was pregnant). SO, I'm excited to report that I didn't run it this year because of complete choice not because I couldn't.
Please, please, please check our website to see how we can help you if you've been struggling with chronic symptoms and/or disease, toxicity may be the culprit. We get to the root cause and eradicate it so you can live life on YOUR TERMS!

Gluten Free Grain Free Bread Recipe

Bobbie's Bread Recipe

I've taken an old recipe and tweeked it a bit. I use my breadman bread machine (I'll show you below) to make this bread, but it can easily be put into the oven.

3 eggs, beaten
1 3/4 cup warm water
4 1/2 Tbsp Oil (I use olive oil)
1 cup chickpea flour (garbanzo bean flour)
1 2/3 cup almond flour
2 cup Tapioca flour/starch
5 1/4 tsp Xanthum gum (holds the bread together)
2 1/4 tsp sea salt
2 Tbsp sugar (to feed the yeast)
3/4 tsp cream of tartar
2 3/4 tsp active dry yeast

I put the setting on rapid white bread, 2 pound loaf, and dark crust and it's off to breadland. The total time for this bread in my bread machine is about 2 hrs 40 minutes. Using the almond flour extends the baking time a bit. I used to use just chickpea and tapioca flour, but the almond flour adds better taste. After the bread is done, I do bake it an additional 25-40 minutes in the breadman on bake only. Below are directions if you don't have a bread machine.

1. Combine all dry ingredients in a medium size bowl (or stand mixer bowl), including the yeast. Mix thoroughly on medium setting.

2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, warm water and oil until well combined. Pour these wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients, and mix on medium speed (with paddle or dough hook, if using stand mixer). When a (sticky) ball begins to form, scrape the sides of the bowl and mix for 1 additional minute. The dough will still be sticky. It’s fine.

3. Scrape the dough into 2 greased 9″x5″ loaf pans. Cover with a towel, set in a draft-free warm spot and let rise about 60 minutes, until doubled in size. Near the end of the rise, preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

4. Remove the towel and place the pan in the preheated oven. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the loaf sounds hollow when tapped with a spoon. Turn the loaf out onto a wire rack and cool completely.

Here's the bread machine I use and I really like it.

Ulcerative Colitis Update

Ulcerative Colitis update:

"If only I would have followed this diet change years ago," I've found myself thinking the past few days. Every time this thought comes to mind, I just think of the amazing journey I've been on. I am meant to share my journey with ulcerative colitis with the world. That it CAN go into remission forever. I've been on the cellular healing diet by Dr. Dan Pompa for 4 months now. I've NEVER felt better. Not only have the symptoms of ulcerative colitis disappeared, I have so much energy, no anxiety, and feel like I can do ANYTHING. Literally. I do believe toxicity plays such a MAJOR role in health and most of us are toxic. I believe firmly believe this. It's just how strong our genetic code is individually that will determine how much toxicity we can handle.

Along with the cellular healing diet, I do take a cellular cleansing product that has literally transformed my health as well. You can read more in depth about this scientifically formulated product on our website. It is called CytoCleanse.

I've been one to take supplement after supplement to see if it helped with my ulcerative colitis symptoms but nothing ever helped long term. If I had to choose one vitamin/supplement I would choose the CytoCleanse and nothing else. It boosts glutathione levels in cells that therefore increase energy production and healing in the body. Glutathione is really the "mother of all antioxidants" and it is produced in our bodies, if cells are functioning properly. Glutathione boosts immunity dramatically and Vitamins C and E need it to function properly.

Along with the cellular healing diet, the CytoCleanse is the perfect partner to assist the body in making dramatic positive health changes.

For any of you following this blog: My bread recipe will be in the next post. I felt it crucial to do an update on my story of ulcerative colitis.

What's next for me?
Before any further testing can be done for heavy metal toxicity (every one should be tested for this) I am getting my amalgams replaced with non toxic fillings. This is important before removing heavy metals from the body. There is a protocol to follow 30-45 days BEFORE your first amalgam removal. It is necessary to prepare your excretory pathways so that your body neutralizes and eliminates any mercury particles from the amalgam removal that may have found their way into your body.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me! I'm on this earth to help others live a healthy, quality life we are all meant to have.

Cellular Healing Diet- Sugar Free Rhubarb Sauce

I altered a great recipe to make it sugar free! I will be posting my gluten free bread recipe too!

Rhubarb Sauce

3 cups of chopped rhubarb (about 1/2" pcs)
1/3 cup Xylitol
1/2 cup water

Cook all ingredients over medium-low heat. Cool and refrigerate.

This is a WONDERFUL NO glycemic index fruit sauce. I put it over
my vanilla coconut milk ice cream last night and it was amazing- tart and sweet!

Cellular Healing Diet- Day 103 Sugar Free Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream

My husband and son can have dairy so I made them some special ice cream after experimenting with the chocolate mint ice cream I made the other day. Check out the picture and recipe below.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream

1 cup whole milk
2 cups heavy cream
3/4 cup Xylitol
1 tsp vanilla extract (sugar free)

Whisk these ingredients together and chill in refrigerator for 1-2 hours, I've found you'll get thicker ice cream that way.

Take out of fridge and pour into churning ice cream maker. Add the cocoa powder after 15 minutes of churning. Once the cocoa powder is mixed in well, add 4 tablespoons of unsweetened peanut butter. I use Trader Joes organic peanut butter made with valencia peanuts. I used the crunchy brand for this batch.

Total churning time: 25-30 minutes

The ice cream will be thick and creamy. I pour it from the bowl to a large measuring cup and transfer the ice cream into 5- 8oz freezer jam containers and freeze them overnight.

Servings: 5- 8oz servings

My husband gave this recipe a 5 out of 5 on his taste test.

Cellular Healing Diet- Day 102 Dairy Free Chocolate Mint Ice Cream

Day 102 on the Cellular Healing Diet. Amazing. My health is phenomenal and I'm so much closer to the total health I've been searching for all these year. I am a better mom, wife, and friend since my health has been back on track.

I want to share an awesome idea for a recipe that I got from the Gluten Free Goddess. This website ROCKS to say the least.

Chocolate Mint Ice Cream

In a medium-large saucepan, combine:

1 cup full fat coconut milk
2 tablespoons tapioca starch
1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum
3/4 cup Xylitol
1 teaspoon peppermint extract

Whisk well to combine. Stir over medium heat until the xylitol is dissolved and the tapioca has thickened the mixture. Remove from heat.

Whisk in:

2 cups ice cold coconut milk

Pour the custard base into a mixing bowl and placed it in the fridge to chill. The colder the mixture is before you add it to the freezing canister of the ice cream maker, the better.

Put the mixture into the ice cream maker and churn for 25-30 minutes.

Near the end of churning add in:

2 oz chopped Sugar-free Simply Lite Dark Chocolate Bar

Churn till stirred through.

Pour the ice cream into freezer containers; cover and freeze. For best flavor, soften ice cream slightly before serving.

Makes about 5 cups.
__________________________________________________________

You guys, this is so easy. I've never made ice cream before and this turned out AWESOME to say the least!!

This is the ice cream maker that I just bought and got awesome ratings. I even bought a second bowl so I would always have a bowl ready to use.

Cellular Healing Diet- Day 84 Waffle Recipe

I'm finally posting another recipe. It's been awhile. Sorry, no picture right now, but this will have to do.

4 T Flaxseed Meal (mix w/ 3/4 c of water and let it sit for 3 minutes)
2 tsp Baking Soda
1 1/3 full fat plain yogurt
2 T Olive Oil
2 tsp Vanilla
2 tsp Stevita Stevia
2 cups Garbanzo Bean Flour
2 cups Tapioca Flour (Starch)

Mix the baking soda and yogurt in the flaxseed meal. Add the oil and vanilla and mix. Add the Stevia and flours and mix. Batter will be thick. You can add nuts to it. I usually add crushed pecans or walnuts to this.

Put on waffle iron and cook until just about crispy- or how you like them.
This should make about 6 waffles.

Optional topping:

12oz frozen strawberries
1/3c Xylitol
1/2 tsp stevia
1 T Arrowroot powder
1/2 tsp lemon juice

Cook on low heat until the sauce thickens. Cool and serve.

Cellular Healing Diet- 83 Days and Counting

I've been feeling amazing with this lifestyle change. It's been awhile since I've posted and I'm sorry! I've been feeling so good that I'm rarely in the house or at the computer when I'm home. I've been keeping track of everything in my planner.

The CytoCleanse is AMAZING and you can purchase this cellular cleanse product through our office.

The ulcerative colitis symptoms have almost completely subsided. When I'm close to my cycle, I get bloated, gas, and diarrhea. Dr. Jen thinks it's because of my changing hormones. Now we are working on that aspect of things. In June, I will get another food allergy test and see if I'm not allergic to wheat, dairy, almonds, and soy. I can live without all those foods anyways, but it would be nice to be able to eat almonds.

The latest recipe I've done is chocolate covered pecans and walnuts. YUMMY!
My husband can't keep his hands off of this treat. I've also been making pita chips by using garbanzo bean flour and tapioca flour. I've been finding great deals on bulk items online.

The next time I make my waffles, I'll take pictures and get the recipe on here. I usually put strawberry or blueberry topping on these--- sugar free of course!

One new item I've been doing is brewing my own Kombucha! I'll get a picture of my own alien posted on here so you can see it!

Ulcerative Colitis Case Study- Cellular Healing Diet Day 68

I can only say that I've been feeling amazing. I've been able to clean, do laundry, and have energy for just about anything these days. I'm ALMOST to the point of not even caring where bathrooms are located when I go to stores. When one has ulcerative colitis, it's usually a habit to know where all the restrooms are wherever you go. I'm hoping to break that habit in the future! Big comfort to let go of, but I want to let go of it!

The cellular healing diet has done wonders for my family and I. Most importantly, it has taught me how to cook and bake so many foods. We rarely go out to eat now and cook such healthy, tasty meals at home. I now have the self control to wait to eat while I'm cooking instead of having to snack on everything while I'm cooking.

Check out the dinner I made the other night!

Lemon Rosemary Salmon with Mediterranean Spinach

Lemon Rosemary Salmon

2 Lemons
Rosemary
Olive Oil
Salmon

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Slice the lemons and place them on the bottom of the baking dish. Sprinkle rosemary on the lemon slices. Place the salmon on top of the lemon slices and put lemon slices and rosemary on top of the salmon. Drizzle olive oil over the dish. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes or until the salmon is flaky.

Mediterranean Spinach

1 pound spinach
1 small onion
2 garlic gloves
Coconut oil
Olives

Heat olive oil over medium heat. Toss in onion, garlic, and salt. Saute until onion is translucent. Toss in spinach. Cook for about a minute and then add the olives. Put feta cheese on the top and serve.

Cellular Healing Diet Case Study- Day 60 Eliminate Toxins

I experienced a miracle today. I had a normal BM. Wow. After days of struggling with my digestion, the CytoCleanse and the Cellular Healing Diet have come through for me. It's been 2 whole months since I began this journey. I feel amazing. I've lost 7 pounds AND toned up. My digestion is much, much better.

There are so many different things people can try out to get healthy. The first thing to do if you are ill, is to eat healthy, whole foods. The second thing is to exercise. Now, if you've made those changes, you may be ready for what I'm about to share with you next.

If you are a person who has been struggling with their health and weight, you may want to consider getting tested for toxicity. Toxicity has overwhelmed most of us throughout the years through our environment and food that we eat. Many symptoms of 21st Century Diseases can be eliminated once toxins in our bodies are eliminated. We do the most cutting-edge toxicity testing at our office. If you would like to go through our qualification process to get these tests done, you can email me (Bobbie) at bobbie@croixviewfamilychiropractic.com or call our office at 715-381-9965.

Ulcerative Colitis and The Cellular Healing Diet- Day 55

I've been feeling OK. But my cycle is to be here now, so my digestion has been iffy (diarrhea, bloating, etc.) I'm still having some blood in my stool and loose stool at that. I've been limiting my nut intake and stopped consuming raw vegetables. I saute' them instead and it's quite yummy! The cellular healing diet is going great and I plan to stay on the Advanced version the rest of my life!

POSITIVES:
I've been having more energy still. My hair is still thick and it's getting long! (I lost 2/3's of it in my early 20's). My fingernails aren't super thin and they don't have ridges in them. I've been able to be patient and not bite off Ryan's head!

I made cheese cake with blackberry topping for Easter. Ryan ate most of it! It has no sugar in it and it tasted AMAZING (or so I'm told). I will get the recipe on here maybe, but the office I work at is compiling recipes that are compatible with the Cellular Healing Diet.

I think I'll post later tonight or tomorrow about how my kombucha is coming along. It smells yummy and looks like it's supposed to!

I am still on CytoCleanse and doing ok, I discontinued it for a few days b/c of the diarrhea I was having, but our bodies do what they need to do to get the toxins out. I'm drinking so much water you think I'd be swimming in it!

Cellular Healing Diet Case Study- Day 48 Brownie Recipe with Pictures!

Wow. I can't believe I made it 48 days. Well, I can, because this is a complete lifestyle change for my family and myself. Like I've mentioned in other posts, I'm on the Cellular Healing Diet developed by Dr. Dan Pompa. I'm also taking curcumin, which is proven to help convert oxidized Glutathione (GSSH) to the usable or "reduced" form of Glutathione (GSH). GSH is the "mother antioxidant" that our cells produce themselves. If our cells are chronically inflamed you cannot product GSH. Period. I also take the StressArrest from Designs for Health which is GABA and it is proven to calm the nervous system helping with anxiety and similar disorders.

I've been on the CytoCleanse for 1 week and notice a HUGE energy increase. I started at 8 capsules of Cytoclear/day and 8 capsules of Cytocatch/day. That was way too much for me to start with, so now I'm down to 2 capsules of Cytoclear/day and 2 capsules of Cytocatch/day. It is EXTREMELY important to begin slowly with this product if you are a sensitive or sick patient like myself (chronic ulcerative colitis for example).

Bottom line, the Cellular Healing Diet alone has done wonders for my energy and health. I'm looking forward to seeing how the CytoCleanse literally transforms my health. Get ready world, here I come!

Ok, on to the brownies. Ryan just asked, "Can I have a brownie yet?!" We've been out of Xylitol for about 2 weeks so we haven't had these magnificent brownies in that long. PLUS, I killed our blender by accident so we'll finally get one in the mail tomorrow from Amazon.com so we can have brownies and ice cream!!!

Here's the brownies I made tonight:

6 T flaxseed meal + 1 c & 2T of water and let sit for 2 minutes for it to gel----(or use 6 eggs)
1/3 c butter or coconut oil
1/2 c cocoa powder
1/2 tsp vanilla
3/4 c Xylitol (I use 1/2 c Xylitol and 1tsp Stevia)
1 c coconut flour

Melt butter on low and add cocoa powder. Add Xylitol and vanilla to flaxseed meal or eggs. Add the cocoa mixture and blend. Add the coconut flour. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

Let cool for at least 20 minutes. Brownies are chewy!!

Serve with Chocolate Ice Cream~

1 c ice
3/4 scoop Whey Cool Chocolate
1 T cocoa unsweetened
1/2 tsp Stevia
1/4 to 1/2 cup canned full fat coconut milk

Blend to perfection- serve with the brownies!

Cellular Healing Diet Case Study- Day 44 Chocolate Coconut Ice Cream

I tried a new recipe on the Cellular Healing Diet today! The picture above is what it looks like so far. I put one can of coconut milk in a bowl with 2 tsp of stevita stevia and then 3 Tblsp cocoa (unsweetened). I mixed them in a bowl with a mixer and then covered it and put it in the freezer. I took it out 1.5 hours later and mixed it again. I guess I'm supposed to do this 3 more times to make sure it doesn't form ice crystals on the ice cream.
I'm doing it this way b/c I don't have an ice cream maker or a blender right now. I killed my blender the last time I made ice cream.

Today, I lowered the CytoCleanse dose to the maintenance dose instead of the ultracellular cleanse dose. I felt better today doing that, although I felt a little nauseated most of today.

This morning, I made 4 batches of skillet bread and put that in the freezer. I was going to make more Apple Flax muffins, but I ran out of Xylitol and the store is out also. I ground up about 1.5 cups of hazelnuts in my mini food chopper to make a hazelnut meal so I could put it on chicken strips and fry them up.

I dipped 3- 4oz chicken strips in water and then rolled them in the hazelnut meal. I fried them in coconut oil in a pan and they were yummy! Next time I would add some seasoning in the hazelnut meal like Italian seasoning or something.

I brewed my own Kombucha yesterday. My friend's mom gave me a baby and I started fermenting that yesterday. We'll get to try it next weekend and see how it tastes.

Cellular Healing Diet Case Study- Day 43 CytoCleanse Day 3

I woke up this morning and didn't have any urgency to run to the bathroom, but I did have to go.

With ulcerative colitis, it is important to limit nut intake, but it's been difficult. I had nuts yesterday and had blood in stool this morning. That seems to be the regular occurrence when I consume nuts. I will begin grinding my nuts to a nut meal and top it on my salads and foods and see how that goes.... or just eliminate them for a time.

I didn't have diarrhea this morning. But I did back off on the CytoClear today. I went down to 3 capsules 2x/day and then 6 CytoCatch right before bedtime.

I'm still taking the Designs for Health C3 (curcumin) and StressArrest (GABA) and L-glutamine.

Cellular Healing Diet Case Study- Day 42 CytoCleanse

I started CytoCleanse yesterday. The CytoClear is designed to actually clean out your cells at the cellular level. The CytoCatch is designed to bind up the toxins in the bile so it doesn't recirculate through your body once they are pulled from the body.
I started the ultracleanse where you take 4 capsules 2x/day of CytoClear and 8 capsules of CytoCatch right before bed. I had diarrhea this morning so I was told to back off and cut back the capsule count, but I actually had a NORMAL BM this afternoon. Holy crap!!

So, I will continue to take CytoClear and CytoCatch to detox my body.

I also got my urine porphyrin test back today. It looks as though I have slight mercury toxicity that is affecting my body's physiology. We will find out tomorrow from the French lab what my test actually means. I was surprised the levels weren't higher, but I'm so grateful that they are minimal as Asher probably has minimal if any mercury in his body from being in my womb.

I'm feeling like I have more energy, but I do feel a little brain foggy. I made coconut bread and peanut butter cookies today. I also made chili for dinner. I do not put beans in my chili and only put a 120z jar of salsa from Trader Joes in it. I eat the chili with goat cheese on it along with coconut bread since it's similar to a corn bread. Yummy!

If you are interested in the CytoCleanse email me at: bobsturner@gmail.com and I will let you know how you can purchase it through our office. You can visit our website here.

Cellular Healing Diet- Day 40 Sugar-Free, Wheat-Free, Dairy-Free Peanut Butter Cookies!

Everything is still going awesome. I've been venturing out of Dr. Pompa's recipe book and experimenting on different recipes. Now that I know pretty much what we can eat, it's now so easy to change recipes around and they taste great!

Peanut Butter Cookies (Sugar-Free, Wheat-free, Dairy-Free, Soy-Free)

1 cup of peanut butter (Valencia peanuts only- Trader Joe's has organic Valencia PB for like $3)
1 cup Flaxseed meal
3/4 cup Xylitol
1 Large Egg (or use egg replacer, unflavored gelatin)
1 tsp vanilla extract (no sugar!)
2 tsp ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix the dry ingredients together and mix well. Add the vanilla and egg. Mix by hand until all the dry ingredients hvae mixed a thick, wet dough. Add the peanut butter, and mix thoroughly.

Roll the dough in your hand into 2 inch balls. Smoosh out with a fork (wet the fork with water between cookies to stop it from sticking)

Bake for 10-14 minutes at 350 degrees.

Makes 12 cookies

This recipe got 5 out of 5 from my husband Ryan. WARNING: Because of the high fiber content of this cookie, don't eat more than 2 cookies in one sitting.

Minimal symptoms of ulcerative colitis right now. I pray this continues to move in the right direction as my symptoms continue to subside.

I'm still taking the curcumin, gaba and l-glutamine for healing my intestinal lining and cellular inflammation.

Cellular Healing Diet- Day 38- Coconut Bread Recipe

I am feeling GREAT! I am 38 days into the Cellular Healing Diet and it is rocking my world.

I am taking 3pills/3x/day of Curcumin and 3pills/3x/day Stress Arrest (GABA) and L-glutamine 5g/4x/day to help soothe and heal my colon lining from the years of ulceration.

I found an awesome coconut bread recipe and I want to share it!

Coconut Bread

Ingredients:
6 eggs (or egg substitute, needed to have the coconut flour stick together)
1/2 cups ghee (or butter)
1 teaspoon stevia or 1-2 tablespoons Xylitol
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup coconut flour

Method:
Preheat your oven to 350. Whisk it all together, or blend in a food processor until all lumps are gone. Grease a bread pan with butter or coconut oil and pour your batter in. Bake for 40 minutes. This bread does not rise much if at all, but it's yummy, yummy, yummy!

I was able to play with Asher today outside and NOT FEEL TIRED. This is not normal for me. If I ever exercise, I always feel more tired afterwards. I have been feeling amazing the past week. I've also been doing Burst Training which rocks. 10 minutes, 3x/week. I do 4 sprints for 30-60 seconds with 2-3 minute rests in between.

I mailed in my Urine Porphyrin test to Paris, France last Tuesday and I'm looking forward to getting the results back this week. The results will tell me what type of Heavy Metals I have in my body, actually how much Mercury I have in my body. I have a lot of symptoms relating to mercury (Hg) toxicity. We think this is a high possibility because of the # of amalgam fillings in my mom's mouth when I was in her womb, the vaccinations I've received, and the 6 amalgam fillings in my mouth. So, we will see. If I am mercury toxic, we will pull it from my system using a chelator that actually BINDS to the mercury and PULLS it from the fat in my body. Once the mercury is fully pulled from my body, I need to get rid of the amalgams in my mouth which will take up to a year because I need to make sure my excretory systems are functioning optimally to make sure the mercury does not wreak havoc on my system.

Mercury toxicity has been related to ulcerative colitis... In genetically susceptible individuals such as myself. My grandpa Bailey had ulcerative colitis.

Ok guys, I'm doing great. I'm down on my knees thanking God daily for this information of the Cellular Healing Diet.

We are telling the world about it. You can learn more about our Nutrition Cafe' workshops on our website.

Peace.

Cellular Healing Diet Brownie Recipe!

I made it!!!

Today was 6 weeks on the Cellular Healing Diet and I feel WONDERFUL. I don't miss carbs, except Ryan and I went to a movie tonight and I smelled the popcorn and wanted some. But I reminded myself that the fake butter wouldn't go over well.

I wanted to share my brownie recipe again because it rocks and it's super easy!!!

6 T flaxseed meal + 1 c of water and let sit for 2 minutes for it to gel----(or use 6 eggs)
1/3 c butter or coconut oil
1/2 c cocoa powder
1/2 tsp vanilla
3/4 c Xylitol
1/2 c coconut flour

Melt butter on low and add cocoa powder. Add Xylitol and vanilla to flaxseed meal or eggs.
Add the cocoa mixture. Add the coconut flour. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

Let cool for at least 20 minutes. Brownies are chewy!!

This is so easy to make and Ryan and Asher LOVE them! What a treat! My plan is to try some yummy muffins tomorrow.

My digestion is still OK, not awesome yet, but it's taken me 16 years to get here. I'm still chugging along.

I'm on a probiotic, curcumin (to reactive GSSH to GSH-- oxidated glutathione into reduced or usable glutathione), GABA (to calm down my body's anxiety that comes with ulcerative colitis).

We did a Tanita test today and I found out I was 28.7% body fat. I should be 18-25% body fat. My BMI was 24.6 so just on the cusp of being labeled "overweight." I will continue to do Burst Training (10 minutes 2-3x/week) and continue following the Cellular Healing Diet.

I just want to be healthy. I am committed to being healthy so that I can be energetic for Ryan and Asher. I will NEVER give up on that. In following my mission to get healthy, I am committed to helping others find their health as well. That's my mission bottom line. I know for most people, our Office is the "last resort" when they've tried everything else to get well- BUT, our goal is to be the first choice for healthcare. Getting rid of the root of the problem with disease. INFLAMMATION. Your body can heal itself and we can guide you there. We don't claim anything, we just move the interference from your body and let YOU do the work.

Let's press on today. Laugh. Smile. Enjoy today.

Ulcerative Colitis Case Study- Cellular Healing Diet

Another day feeling great. I'm so thankful! I've been watching Dr. Pompa's videos on the Cellular Healing diet and it's amazing. There are so many things people need to know about the food they eat!

I mailed in my urine test to test for mercury toxicity. Dr. Jen thinks I probably have chronic mercury poisoning from my mother's womb (she had many amalgram fillings) and my 6 amalgram fillings. So, we'll see what the test results are in about a week.

I did the VCS (Visual Contrast Sensitivity) test and it was negative- which means I tested negative for biotoxins (mold or lyme's disease).

It's important to note that mercury toxicity messes up the communication between your hypothalamus and the rest of your body, resulting in major hormone issues as well. I thought I had adrenal exhaustion at one point. I have progesterone production issues also, hence, the 4 miscarriages I've had. I'm really interested to see the test results. If I am mercury toxic, then I would get on a chelator that actually binds to the mercury in the fat (mercury LOVES fat, especially brain fat) and that would pull out the mercury in my body over time. I also would need to get my alamgram fillings removed- but this can only be done once I've prepared my body (excretory pathways) to eliminate the mercury properly. I will need to be on a 3-6 month protocol before I can get my amalgams out to make sure that my body doesn't go over the edge.

Anyways. All is well, just keep plugging away. My digestion still isn't where it needs to be, but it's much better.

I'm still taking my regular supplements and l-glutamine.

Ulcerative Colitis Case Study- Cellular Healing Diet Day 30

I feel GREAT!!! We have got into a method of how we do things at our house meal-wise. I'm always preparing ahead of time and it works perfect. One thing that stinks is this: I BROKE by blender!! I put too much ice in it to make ice cream and it died.

I'm looking for a new blender, but I'm still trying new recipes and experimenting with old ones. This is so fun!!

I've not felt this good in a long time. I'm not irritable or cranky. I feel rested when I wake up in the morning. I've been following this way of life for 5 weeks and I promise myself this: I WILL NEVER go back to the old way of eating. This life feels too good to be true.

I'm still incorporating Designs for Health Whey Cool shakes into my diet for snacks b/c it's quick and easy. Click Here to info on buying Designs for Health products. They are all pharmaceutical grade.

I'm also taking Designs for Health C3 Curcumin and StressArrest. I've noticed a difference in my anxiety and digestion with this. I've also incorporated L-glutamine into my protocol as I'm still healing the lining of my colon from years of ulceration and prescription drug use (prednisone & asacol).

For those of you who may suffer from digestive issues, please ask me how I can help point you in the right direction to get you feeling better. I personally don't charge anything for advice, but we do nutrition consultations in our office that take you through a customized program that will recommend certain testing to get your body back in balance.

Overall, I've been feeling amazing and I know that following Dr. Pompa's Cellular Healing Diet has been the "missing link" for me in my search for health and an answered prayer. I now know that eliminating sugar was the MUST that needed to be done for my health. This was the CAUSE of inflammation (along w/ bad fats) in my body- hence my Ulcerative Colitis (inflammation of the colon).

Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help you get on track. We also do Nutrition Cafe' workshops that show you how to make the 3 Basic Changes that show you how to REDUCE inflammation, LOSE weight, and LIVE LONGER!!

Go to our website and see how we can help you!

Ulcerative Colitis Case Study- Cellular Healing Diet Day 26

Wow. I'm feeling MUCH better! No blood today and normal digestion. No bloating or pain. Nothing. I'm still taking this is strides as my body is affected when my menstrual cycle is approaching.

I've been eating great, yummy meals- mostly from the Cellular Healing Diet recipe book, but I'm starting to venture out and try out my own recipes.

I've made YUMMY, YUMMY brownies!! I'll share the recipe below.

Bobbie's Chewy Brownies:

These go in an 8" pre-greased glass pan.

6 T flaxseed meal mixed with 18 T of water
1 C Xylitol (natural sugar substitute)
1/2 tsp Vanilla (no sugar)
1/3 C butter (preferably organic)
1/2 C Cocoa (unsweetened)
1/2 C coconut flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter on low and mix in cocoa powder in melted butter. Let it cool. Put Xylitol, vanilla, flaxseed meal mixture together. Add the butter/cocoa mixture. Mix. Add the coconut flour and mix until no lumps. Pour in 8"x8" pan and bake for about 30-35 minutes.

Let cool. Serve and enjoy.

We had my chocolate ice cream with brownies tonight for dessert. It was AWESOME!

I've also been doing Burst Training. I've been doing sprints for 1 minute at 10mph 4 times with 2 minute recovery. I've also been able to do 40 pushups in a row now- full form pushups.

Not only is my digestive system feeling good and in the process of healing, I've lost 6lbs of FAT. Toxic fat I'm hoping.

Stay tuned for more nutrition on our website!

Ulcerative Colitis Case Study- Cellular Healing Diet Day 25

Sorry for not posting! I've been writing everything down in my journal on what I've been doing and how I've been feeling. I've been feeling great. I've come up with some REALLY awesome recipes and desserts without sugar. Ryan LOVES my ice cream and brownies :)

A few weeks ago Ryan and I watched the movie, Food, Inc., such an eye opener and confirmed why we eat the way we eat! It's based off the Omnivore's Dilemma book and shows how food is really made in the food industry. Or is it really food?

My digestion has been OK. I'm not flared up but it's not where I'd like it to be either. My energy levels have been insane and I never get the stuffed or full feeling when eating and I am always satisfied. We are eating so healthy and it feels great.

We signed up for a crop share (CSA) program this week through the chiropractic office that I manage. We get a full bushel of organic, local produce every week beginning in June for 18 weeks. It gets delivered to our office! We are so excited to try new vegetables and fruits. We are also looking for a place to buy a 1/4 of a grass-fed cow. It's a huge cost savings, helps out local farmers, and is SO GOOD for you!!

I'm still taking Curcumin to convert GSSH (oxidized glutathione) to GSH (reduced glutathione) to help my cells heal. I'm taking GABA or butyric acid to help my body calm down and stop being in fight or flight mode constantly. I've noticed a huge difference since taking these supplements.

The cellular healing diet has brought an amazing transformation in our home and Ryan even feels awesome on it. He's lost 10 lbs since beginning the nutrition program and we've figured out ways to get him his sweets without the sugar!

I've figured out a way to make amazing chocolate ice cream.

Put the following in a blender:

2 cups of ice cubes
1/2 cup canned coconut milk full fat unsweetened
1 packet or 1/2 tsp stevia
1 scoop of chocolate Whey Cool (we sell this in our office) Designs for Health brand
2 T of cocoa powder unsweetened

Blend and enjoy! I'll have to get my brownie recipe out here too. We had brownies and ice cream last night and it was amazing--- WITHOUT the guilt and health consequences!

The cellular healing diet is a GOD SEND!

Bobbie :)

Ulcerative Colitis Case Study- Cellular Healing Diet- Day 10

Tuesday, February 23, 2010

My digestion was not very good this morning. Still having a bit of blood. I am still on Fargelin today, although I went to the natural foods store and bought Curcumin, but they didn't have GABA which is Butyric Acid. These 2 items are supposed to be extremely helpful when overcoming colitis along with the Cellular Healing Diet by Dr. Dan Pompa. Curcumin helps decrease cytokins, peroxynitrite, and superoxide in our cells that are in the vicious cycle of cellular inflammation. Reducing these in your cells will therefore lead to reduced cellular inflammation. GABA is also very helpful with people with ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease because it helps your brain relax and turn off the anxiety part of the brain.
I took 4 capsules of Curcumin. We sell C3 Curcumin in our office by Designs for Health. It will be a week or two until we get it in our office so I got it at the natural foods store. I'm hoping this brand is effective.

Breakfast:
2 eggs
Flaxseed bread

Lunch:
Salad w/ chicken sausage

Dinner:
Beef chili w/o beans
mixed greens

Snack:
Synergy Kombucha

I stopped the Zylene yesterday to make sure that my body has it's full energy to heal itself. I definitely missed the Zylene though. It helps with energy and just a mood booster too.

In closing for the day, the Cellular Healing Diet is not hard. In fact, it is very easy. It is eating healthy and eating whole foods- which is important for everyone to do. Having Ryan doing the meals with me is very helpful. My husband is so supportive and it's awesome.
In fact, he's lost 9 pounds since he's started the Cellular Healing Diet 10 days ago. I've lost 5.5 pounds, and losing weight really was not my goal. I'm praying this excess weight I'm losing is toxins exiting my body for good!

Ulcerative Colitis Case Study- Cellular Healing Diet- Day 9

Monday, February 22, 2010

Day 25 of my cycle and my digestion is terrible. I get depressed in times like this. Ugh. BUT, I'm still forging forward. I still have to take curcumin like Dr. Pompa suggested at this seminar. I learned that if someone is having IBS, ulcerative colitis, or crohn's disease, he or she should be on butyric acid and curcumin along with the Cellular Healing Diet. I have yet to incorporate those 2 supplements into my plan, I'm hoping to do so SOON.

Breakfast:
Omelet w/ mushrooms

Lunch:
Flaxseed breat
Nuts

Dinner:
Baked chicken
small sweet potato (I know this is not on the list, I made an error)

Snack:
Celery
Cashew butter

11pm: bad gas (rumbling and distention), had blood in my stool

Today I went to acupuncture. It helped me relax. Kathy, the acupuncturist said that my digestion seems to be challenged around my menstrual cycle and to make sure I am prepared before it comes to combat Ulcerative Colitis symptoms until my body is fully healed.
I feel down the stairs today with Asher (my 15-month-old son). My ankle was swollen so Kathy put some needles and stim on it. It is feeling good so far this evening although stiff.
I'm planning on having a better day tomorrow. OH- also, Asher has been sick since Sunday afternoon. He's just got a fever, but it seems to be lasting a while. I plan on taking him to the Dr. tomorrow if he is not feeling better.

Ulcerative Colitis Case Study- Cellular Healing Diet- Day 8

Sunday, February 21, 2010

Bad digestion today. Experiencing slight bleeding- I haven't changed my eating since I was feeling great, so I can only attribute this digestive discomfort to my pending menstrual cycle.
Ugh!

Breakfast:
1 egg

Lunch:
Beef roast & veggies

Dinner:
Chicken salad
avocado

Snack:
Synergy Kombucha
2 handfuls of nuts

I began taking a chinese herb called, Fargelin, today. This is supposed to help dispel heat and dampness from the body. Mainly, I use this herb pending my menstrual cycle because my body tends to go to a damp heat state during that time. I'm frustrated, yet soothed in the fact that I'm pinpointing my digestive discomforts to happen right around my menstrual cycle. This tells me that my hormones are still working to balance out and until they are healthy and balanced, I do think I will experience digestive problems around my menstrual cycle.

It's tough when you would give almost anything to be healthy and it seems to take forever. When our bodies heal themselves it really doesn't happen over night. That is ok. I'm committed to getting my body healthy while here on earth so I can be used by God in how he sees fit. I am here for a reason. I take hold of the power within me to live with passion. My husband would probably call this writing babbling so I'll end this with, Good night.

Ulcerative Colitis Case Study- Cellular Healing Diet- Day 7

Saturday, February 20, 2010

Ok digestion today. Still having bad gas and I can't figure out what it could be except my hormonal fluctuation per my menstrual cycle which is about 5 days away.

Breakfast:
2 eggs

Snack:
Synergy Kombucha

Lunch:
Beef
Peppers
1 oz Goat cheese

Dinner:
Salad with chicken breast

Snack:
handful of mixed nuts

We drove home from Madison, WI tonight. We were visiting family. My throat feels somewhat sore, almost like I'm just about to get a cold/sore throat.

Really bad gas in the evening/late evening.

Ulcerative Colitis Case Study- Cellular Healing Diet- Day 6

Friday, February 19, 2010

I felt great so far today, except towards the end of the evening I had really bad gas. I attributed it to possibly the goat cheese, so I have not eaten that for a few days to see if that helped. I still had a normal BM today.

Breakfast:
1 egg, 1 piece of flaxseed bread

Lunch:
Chicken breast
greens for a salad

Dinner:
Tilapia over green beans

Snack:
Pumpkin seeds
Walnuts
Cashews

One thing to note today is that I am extremely hungry. Another thing to note is that I am day 22 of my cycle so I will have my menses in about a week. I tend to get altered digestion right around my menstrual cycle.

Saturday, February 20, 2010

Ulcerative Colitis Case Study- Cellular Healing Diet Day 5

Thursday, February 18, 2010

Note: I've been writing these things in my calendar and entering them in my blog when I can.

Breakfast:
2 eggs at 6:45am

Snack:
Celery + Cashew butter 11am

Lunch:
Beef + Mixed green salad/vegetables
goat cheese

Snack:
1/4c. walnuts
celery + cashew butter

Dinner:
Beef + Salad
Goat Cheese

Snack:
1/2c nuts

I felt SO hungry today.

Activity:
Played out in the snow most of the day with the kids. Went on a few walks outside around the 20 acres.

Great digestion today.

Stress level was MEDIUM today, did breathing and meditation exercises to relax.

One thing, when people have ulcerative colitis it is natural to develop anxiety if one does not already have it. The worries that come with ulcerative colitis are many, but it takes an active and strong mind to cast out worries by faith. Realizing that if we cast our cares upon Jesus, he will take care of them for us.

Scripture that I've been repeating today in my mind is this:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, acknowledge him in all your ways, and he will direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

Ulcerative Colitis Case Study- Cellular Healing Diet Day 4

Wednesday, February 17, 2010

We left for Madison today to visit Adam (Ryan's brother), Erin (Adam's wife), Lindson (Adam's son), Sierra (Adam's daughter). I went grocery shopping and packed up everything in a cooler to bring down with us to make sure we eat according to the Cellular Healing Diet.

Breakfast:
2 eggs

Snack:
Cashew butter + celery
(I made the cashew butter)

Lunch:
Flatbread from the "Cellular Healing Diet" book

Dinner:
On the go: Chipotle bowl
barbacoa bowl w/ no grains

Activity:
I did burst training today. 4 x 35 seconds @ 11mph, 1x30 seconds @ 12mph
20 scorpion push ups

I took 1 Zylene 1.1 at 11am. My usual supplements to help support my body reverse my food allergies along with implementing the cellular healing diet.
My digestion has been great. Minimal ulcerative colitis symptoms. I've had UC for so long, I know I may think certain symptoms are "normal" when they are not. Overall, I have vastly improved.

Only able to get about 5.5 hours of sleep, we stayed up visiting with Adam and Erin b/c we haven't seen them in so long.

Tuesday, February 16, 2010

Ulcerative Colitis Case Study- Cellular Healing Diet Day 3

Tuesday, February 16, 2010

I didn't realize that I should not have consumed the granny smith apple and peanut butter last night for a snack while at the beginning stages of the "Advanced Cellular Healing Diet."
My digestion is off a bit this morning. I went #2 this morning 2x only, same thing yesterday.

Breakfast:
2 eggs overeasy
Avocado

Snack:
Synergy Kombucha

Lunch:
Green salad
Ground beef and garlic
4 olives
Olive oil
Apple cider vinegar

Dinner:
Marinated rump roast in garlic and apple cider vinegar

At the end of the day, I feel real great. I'm really excited to get my Cytocleanse and Cytoclear tomorrow along with Zylene. Cytocleanse/clear will help rid my body of toxins and make sure they are not reabsorbed in my system and also help with energy production. Zylene will help with energy levels as well as helping my body become a fat burner instead of a sugar burner. I'm so excited!!

Cellular Healing Diet- Sharing it with others

When you believe in something with all of the fibers of your being, you just need to share it, right??

Well, I want to share with all of you that as soon as I got in town from Pittsburgh, PA, I went to our town's natural food store (Fresh and Natural Foods). I walked in with a mindset of getting everything I needed to begin the Cellular Healing Diet TODAY. I was walking over the the isle where one can get Synergy Kombucha (it's on sale!) and I overheard a lady talking about oils and how no oils are good besides olive oil because all the others have saturated fat.

Well, for those that know me well, wouldn't be surprised that I jumped RIGHT into the conversation she was having with her husband. You know why I jumped right in? Because she needed to know the TRUTH! So, I told her that coconut oil is one of the best oils out there because it's 4:1 ratio (it has ALL the fats in one oil, how awesome!) She said she still thought coconut oil wouldn't be good for her husband because he has high cholesterol. So guess what I do? I continue to tell her about the traffic jam theory I learned at the Pompa Seminar this past weekend and why the "regular" cholesterol tests don't give us the information that is vital to health. They GOT it! So, I told them if they want the correct cholesterol test, they can come to my office. It gets better!

So this 80-year-old gentelman precedes to tell me he has type 2 diabetes. I was just about to JUMP out of my shoes- I was so excited!!! I CAN HELP THIS MAN! So, I told him so. I explained how it goes down to the cellular level- cellular inflammation. His diabetes has a great chance of getting out of dodge if he could get his cellular inflammation under control. I told them I, along with Dr. Jen, will be doing workshops that will share this awesome discovery to our community. I gave them my number, they gave me their email address. We hugged and we went along our way.

You know what? I listened to the nudge within me to talk to them. The gentleman stopped me 3 times in the store after our 30-minute conversation in the oil isle, just to tell me a joke. I now consider them friends, Byron and Georgie, that is. They are older in years, but nevertheless, seeking healing while God has them on this earth. Build those relationships with people. Offer support to them. We need each other if we are going to make it. You know what that tells me? I need to do this EVERY TIME I have that nudge. It's obeying what God has put me on earth here to do. I'm done saying NO to God. God, I'm all in your court. You tell me to jump. I WILL JUMP.

Ulcerative Colitis Case Study- Cellular Healing Diet Day 1

It's Valentine's day!

I just had the most AMAZING weekend. I went to the Pompa Seminar in Pittsburgh, PA and it completely changed my life! I've always been waiting for the "missing link." I knew I wasn't meant to have ulcerative colitis forever. Ulcerative colitis does not define me. Most of us with the "disease" think it's not curable. I DON'T agree with that statement AND never will!! We spend EVERY SINGLE day knowing where a bathroom is wherever we go just in case we "have to go." It's a prison and we are not meant to be in it!!!!! I know that ulcerative colitis is a SYMPTOM of something else going on in my body. I've always believed that. Ok, so I felt I needed to add my 2 cents, since this is MY blog on MY health and journey. Today is my 1st day of completely following the Cellular Healing diet. The Cellular Healing Diet was created by Dr. Dan Pompa and it MAKES SENSE. Our bodies are in a constant state of stress because of our lifestyles-- this diet takes us down to healing at the cellular level.

Every one of our cells is experiencing oxidative stress or SUFFOCATING and our bodies are responding in so many different diseases such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Ulcerative Colitis (UC), Crohn's Disease, Type 1 & 2 Diabetes, Cancer, Heart Disease, etc. The list truly could go on and on. My friend, Casey, asked if I was a radical (as a joke), I LOVE THAT LABEL! I am a radical. I am a radical for change. I am a radical for health. I am a radical for Jesus. That's me and I love me! Ok, so now that you know just a tidbit of WHY I'm doing this, I'll write down what I ate today and a few other things like emotions, cravings, etc. I will continue to reveal more and more about the concept of the cellular healing diet and why it is necessary, no, actually it is the FOUNDATION where true healing can begin. Are you ready? Let's hit it! All the food I will be eating is organic, so I'm not going to label it in each post.

NOTE: I have 4 food allergies: Dairy, Wheat, Soy, Almond and I am refraining from those foods for 6 months and then retesting for allergies.

Breakfast
Nothing- BIG mistake, but we were traveling home from Pittsburgh. Dr. Jen and I left at 4:30am for our flight- and no time to eat.

Lunch
Spinach
Ground beef (grass fed) 4oz
onion
garlic
mushrooms
coconut oil
4 olives in red wine vinegar

Emotions: Felt pumped up. No gas or bloated feeling. Ready to rock.

Snack
6 cashews

Dinner
Beef chuck roast (4oz)
Yellow pepper
onion
garlic
celery
mushrooms
coconut oil
cumin
sea salt
stir-fried all of these ingredients together. It rocked!!

Emotions: SO tired from being up since 2am CST, still pumped up though ;).
Physical: experiencing a bit of rumbling gas, but NO full feeling or nervous stomach

I do want to highlight that my husband, Ryan, supports me 100% NO MATTER WHAT. He's starting the Cellular Healing Diet with me in hopes to cure joint pain from his many years of wrestling, especially at the D1 level for the WI Badgers. Go Badgers! He's on board with me from the moment he saw how pumped I was AND how convinced I am that this is the ULTIMATE way to health.

If you ask me what I do from this day forward, I will tell you this: I SAVE LIVES.
And you know what? I believe it for real.

Be confident in this. God brings us to points in our lives for a reason. It's important to really grasp that concept. I have suffered through this "disease" medically diagnosed as Ulcerative Colitis. I've known from the beginning that God will use my journey to help others. I've been through infertility (cellular inflammation???), unexplained weight gain, stubborn belly fat, mood swings, etc. But in the end all that matters is this: God has showed me how to save lives while here on earth. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. NO ONE comes to the father but through him. The Cellular Healing Diet is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (of health) and NO ONE comes to total health except through it. This will forever be my analogy.

Stick with me- I could use the support!

Thank you!
